    Burns Cottage is the 18th-century childhood home of national poet Robert Burns, located in Alloway, South Ayrshire, Scotland. The simple two-roomed clay and thatch cottage was built by his father, William Burness in 1757 and has been fully restored to become part of Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. The museum features a bust of Burns by Patric Park and offers self-guided tours. The cottage has had a number of uses over the years, including a spell as a pub, but is now a historical site and museum dedicated to the life and work of Robert Burns.
