Business Description

Burnham Grammar School is a co-educational grammar school in Burnham, Buckinghamshire, which became an Academy in October 2011. It caters to students aged 11–18, with approximately 900 on roll. The school has a full-sized tiger-turf sports pitch and was awarded specialist school status as a Science College in September 2004. In May 2011, the school applied for academy status to be released from Local Education Authority control. Students are divided into five houses named after notable figures, and the current headteacher is Dr Andrew Gillespie. Additionally, the school has been the location of "Lighthouse Burnham," a holiday week for children run by Christians from local churches for the past seven years.
