The formation of Brookside Central CIO in 2016 was a collaborative effort by local residents and groups, including Brookside Big Local and Stirchley and Brookside Parish Council, to prevent the closure of Brookside Community Centre. The CIO was established to take over the management of the centre and ensure its continued operation for the benefit of the community.
