The Lido in Bristol, originally opened in 1850 and taken over by the council in 1897, fell into disrepair in the 1980s and was closed in 1990. After 18 years, local entrepreneur Arne Ringer has restored the Lido to its former glory, investing £2.5 million to create a modern oasis. The facility now includes a heated pool, sun lounge, bar, restaurant, tea room, spa, and treatment rooms. The Lido offers a unique urban-chic experience with the feel of a luxurious country home, open to the public seven days a week.
