Business Description
Boothtown is a historic suburb of Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, known for its connection to the invention of cat's eyes for road safety. The area includes the Victorian model housing scheme of Akroydon, designed by George Gilbert Scott, and is home to the Bankfield Museum and library, which houses the Regimental museum of The Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Boothtown is also home to the longest running Boys' Brigade Company in Calderdale, and was the site of a notable rescue of a suspected burglar trapped in a well at St Thomas' Church in 2011.
