Blackwell is a majestic Arts & Crafts-designed country house, located on the picturesque banks of Lakeland Windermere, and is part of Lakeland Arts. Built at the turn of the last century as a holiday retreat for Sir Edward Beale, a wealthy Manchester owner, Blackwell adheres to the Arts & Crafts movement, with stunning stained glass, an interactive iPad exhibition, and plenty of artifacts from the M H Baillie Scott designed house. The house also has an excellent tearoom, and a relaxing view of the lake to admire, while enjoying a spot of afternoon tea.
