The original site of The Black Boy is believed to be closer to the Warwick Road than the current building, which was closed in 1793 to make way for new premises to take advantage of the new canal trade. Over the past 200 years, the pub has seen many historical events and changes in ownership, and is now owned by The Rigby Family. The building was restored in 1993 and has earned a reputation as one of the finest Public Houses in the Midlands. The pub welcomes large groups and special events, and also boasts a friendly ghost named Tobias. The family-run pub is situated on the Grand Union canal and serves good food and fine ales.
