Bectu

Bectu Union (Sector of Prospect) is the UK trade union representing staff and freelancers in broadcasting, TV & radio production, film, digital media, theatre, and live events. With a membership of over 25,000, Bectu provides a wide range of services including negotiating pay and contracts, personal advice and representation, health and safety support, and training opportunities. As of January 1, 2017, Bectu became the largest sector of Prospect, expanding its membership to over 40,000 professionals. The union also supports background artistes in London and the South East, as well as workers based primarily in the UK, including those with contracts originating abroad.
