    Beccles Lido, formerly the Beccles Open Air Swimming Pool, was saved by the community and re-opened as a not-for-profit enterprise in 2010. With the help of over 100 volunteers and £300,000 in funds, including a grant from British Gas’ Green Streets program, the pool was restored and re-opened as Beccles Lido. The pool now operates more efficiently, conserves energy, and has seen record numbers of visitors.
