Business Description

Avalon Sciences (ASL) is a world-leading manufacturer and consultancy firm specializing in highly sensitive borehole seismic receivers, or 'geophones', designed to operate in extreme temperatures and pressures within the Earth's crust. ASL's technology has become the standard for VSP surveying, enhanced oil recovery, hydraulic fracture monitoring, and carbon storage viability assessment. With support bases in major oil-producing areas and a team of experienced designers, geoscientists, and seismic engineers, ASL has established itself as a leader in the microseismic and borehole seismic monitoring markets. The company's UK manufacturing plant, equipped with advanced facilities and a dedicated R&D center, allows ASL to produce over 80% of its products in-house. Over the past 5 years, ASL has focused on developing its borehole seismic technology for the shale gas microseismic market.
