Apple Tree

The Apple Tree, formerly known as Pippins, is set to reopen in Carlisle after a major makeover. The pub, which originally opened in 1926, has undergone a £150,000 refit with new bar and toilets, as well as new fittings and furniture. The reopening will see the pub revert to its original name, and it will now operate under new hours, opening from 10am to 11pm on weekdays and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The pub is aiming to attract a new clientele while still catering to its existing patrons, and a new food menu is set to be introduced in April. The reopening will be officiated by some of the pub's oldest patrons, Arthur and Kath Armstrong, who have been invited to cut the ribbon.
