The company's purpose-built studio at the Needles in 1983 has allowed for the use of 'state of the art' pot furnaces, enabling precise control over the quality of their creations. Alum Bay Glass now produces entirely lead-free Crystal Glass, using techniques developed and refined over many centuries. The studio glass makers draw inspiration from the dramatic scenery of the British Isles, resulting in glassware that reflects the constant shifts of light and mood in the weather at this far western point of the Isle of Wight.
