Alde Valley Academy, formerly known as Leiston Community High School, underwent a reorganization of high school education in Suffolk, transitioning from a 13 to 18 school to an 11 to 16 school and rebranding itself as Alde Valley School. In 2015, the school converted to an academy sponsored by the Bright Tribe Trust, and in 2019, the academy's sponsors changed to the Waveney Valley Academies Trust. With Principal Daniel Mayhew at the helm, the academy has been officially rated Good by Ofsted, with Outstanding Behaviour, and is recognized as one of the top ten high-achieving secondary schools in Suffolk. The academy boasts a broad Key Stage 4 curriculum and is considered one of the most improved schools in England.
