Accounting for International Development (AfID)

Accounting for International Development (AfID) provides accountants from around the world with the chance to apply their skills in supporting a diverse range of non-profit organizations globally. Volunteer assignments, lasting at least 2 weeks, are a key part of AfID's ongoing strategy to enhance the financial management capabilities of charities in over 50 countries. AfID's partners include a mix of international charities and grassroots NGOs, such as street child centers, hospitals, micro-finance institutions, conservation projects, women's empowerment programs, and schools, all working to address extreme poverty and inequality. Due to limited resources, these organizations are unable to access crucial financial management training, and AfID aims to bridge this gap.
