Originally focused on translators and interpreters, ACCI has since become the only organization solely dedicated to the profession of language interpretation. Their main objectives include serving the professional interests of its members, providing accredited interpreting qualifications, and promoting the profession of language interpretation both in the UK and internationally. ACCI also aims to regulate the interpreting profession, provide a trade unions option, and address legal challenges in the field.
