ACCI Association of Certified Interpreters

ACCI (the Association of Certified Interpreters) is a global organization founded in 2013 by Pawel Janicki. Originally focused on translators and interpreters, ACCI has since become the only organization solely dedicated to the profession of language interpretation. With core values of opportunity, diversity, innovation, integrity, and accountability, ACCI aims to develop capacity in the profession and encourage the adoption of global standards. They work to strengthen the profession by working with professionals and organizations worldwide, while also providing support and resources to their members and students. ACCI also works in the public interest, assuring that its members are appropriately regulated and insured for their work, and promoting principles-based approaches to regulation. Their main objectives include serving the professional interests of its members, providing accredited interpreting qualifications, and promoting the profession of language interpretation both in the UK and internationally. ACCI also aims to regulate the interpreting profession, provide a trade unions option, and address legal challenges in the field.
